The Siggins Hall of Fame
- Abalone (Abalone Games): A recent entry, one of the very few abstract games I like.
- Acquire (Avalon Hill): Probably the ultimate business game, different each time.
- Backgammon: I'm not much good at it, but I love the challenge of learning more.
- Baseball Strategy (Avalon Hill): Perhaps ageing a little, but still a fine game.
- Bridge & Hearts/Black Maria: Two of the best non-betting card games around.
- Call of Cthulhu (Chaosium): Different, spooky and no need for monster bashing.
- Cosmic Encounter (Eon): Clever system, massively expandable and fun.
- Coup (ASS): A superb abstract 'business' game, only in need of a theme.
- Das Borsenspiel (Ravensburger etc): Deceptively simple and lots of strategies.
- AD&D (TSR): The one with all the memories. Still the most fun I've had in gaming.
- Die Macher (Hans im Gluck): Guaranteed headache but well worth it.
- Dune (Avalon Hill): Like Cosmic Encounter, variable powers make the game.
- 1830 (Avalon Hill): Superb complex game, much importance rides on every decision.
- Empires of the Middle Ages (SPI): A good balance between playability and history.
- Flat Top/CV (AH/Yaquinto): The ultimate strategic game. Marvelous atmosphere.
- Football Strategy (Avalon Hill): Still the best football game after all this time.
- Niki Lauda's Formel Eins (ASS): Another Walker introduction, a clever game.
- Godsfire (Metagaming): An oldie, but still not bettered (Imperium came close).
- Grand Prix (Ravensburger): Basic mechanics create a very good game with excitement.
- Hol's der Geier (Ravensburger): Uncanny at times, tough to win and great fun.
- Homas Tour (Homas Spelen): If you can find it, an excellent cycling game.
- A House Divided (GDW): Simple, plenty of strategic options and not too stressful.

- Ironclads (Yaquinto): Neat game, plenty of atmosphere.
- Junta (Creative Wargames): Excellent game, the only 'being nasty' game I enjoy.
- Karriere Poker (Hexagames): Simple, quick and great fun and not a bad card game.
- Korean War (Victory): Balkoski at near his best. A very clever system.
- Lee vs Grant (Victory): Balkoski again. Fairly simple, quick and highly playable.
- Liar's Dice (Generic/MB): A recent addition to the list, a great game.
- McMulti (Hexagames): For those who don't have Crude, an excellent 4 player game.
- Metric Mile (Lambourne): The perfect balance of playability and simulation.
- National Pro Hockey (National): Forget Face Off, this game lets you play hockey.
- Pennant Race (Avalon Hill): One of the neatest management game systemsr.
- Pursue the Pennant (PTP): The pretender. Very good, but Statis Pro is hard to top.
- Railway Rivals/Dampfross (Watts/Schmidt): Top Notch. One of the classics.
- Risk (Parker): Another oldie with lots of good memories. Great fun.
- Runequest (Chaosium): Corrects most of D&D's problems. Evocative background.
- Russian Campaign (Avalon Hill): Smooth, different every time and well balanced.
- Schoko & Co (Schmid): I think this is a great game, but I have some doubts.
- Scrabble (Spears): Can't say much about this really, I like it but who plays it?
- Sechs Tage Rennen (Holtmann): No need for comment.
- Shark (Flying Turtle): Apparently a controversial choice, but I like it.
- 6th Fleet etc (Victory): Balkoski once more. Rather odd simulations but great fun.
- Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective (Sleuth): Hardwork, but a true original.
- Source of the Nile (Discovery/AH): Excellent atmosphere and not too strenuous.
- Squad Leader system (Avalon Hill): Probably the very best boardgame ever.
- Statis Pro Baseball (Avalon Hill): The best (slightly flawed) baseball game ever.
- Statis Pro Basketball (Avalon Hill): Needs a stamina system, but still the best.
- Submarine (Avalon Hill): Underrated game, nearly perfect with an umpire.
- Thunder at Cassino (Avalon Hill): Excellent system, balance and feel, not overlong.
- Traveller (GDW): My first SF RPG and responsible for lots of good times.
- Trivial Pursuit (Horn Abbot): Well, I like it.
- Up Front (Avalon Hill): Very different and a fine game.
- Wildlife Adventure (Ravensburger): Stunningly simple system, fun, quick and Green!

- Wooden Ships, Iron Men (Avalon Hill): Getting old now, but still excellent.
