Swedish Game of the Year

The Swedish Game of the Year was first awarded in 1984. The recipient of the award is chosen by a jury of five journalists and educators who are not involved in the game industry.

The first year there was only one award, but from 1985 on one prize is awarded for the best family game and another is awarded for the best children's game.
