Dear editor,
I've been searching for the intructions to a board game from Tanzania, Africa called "Bao". Think it played with marbles. Please help me. I just can't seem to find it.
Thanks,
Kristie

I believe Bao is a member of the Mancala/Awele/Owari family, possibly related to Ba-Awa, the variant played in Ghana.
Wilbur Smith mentions the game in his novel River God --although that's not much of a reference since Smith mangled every single other bit of history to be found in the book...

The description is too vague; it sounds like a variant of Awale of Owari but that would be too easy.
