The Swedish jury for the "Game of the Year" awards has for 1997 chosen following winners:
Best family game: "Svea Rike", a historic game about noble families that compete for the supremacy over Sweden in the years 1521-1813. Invented by Dan Glimne och Henrik Strandberg, Target Games, Stockholm, Sweden.
Best children game: "Zoo" - which is the Swedish version of the German game "Vier zu mir" by Heike Baum/ASS.
