HELP!!

I inherited a game from a relative who living in Denmark in the mid 1960's. This wooden game is about 9 inches square with a hollowed out bowel [bowl, perhaps? - ed] shaped center. Around the perimeter of the center are 8 evenly spaced indentations that a 1/2 inch diameter wooden sphere can fit into. A spinning top or dreidel is spun in the center of the bowel and knocks these wooden spheres into the indentations. The indentations are labeled with dice like numerals of 2,3,4,and 5 in the corners and 1 on the remaining spots.

Do you have any idea what this game is called or where I might be able to find instructions? I would be thankful for any response.

sincerely,
Trent Anderson

I don't know if anyone ever responded to the fellow with the bowel problem, but it sounds a hell of a lot like Mespi's Tiroler Roulette. It's a horrible random thing (basically, the spinning top drives balls into colored, numbered holes) but, like the casino version, probably has some gambling application. Why would you need rules for this? You describe the game exactly. That's all there is to it.
