Card: Augwechslung (Exchange)

Value: 105 - 1 Caballero

Effect: You may exchange a foreign Caballero in each region with one of your own Caballeros from a different region. Each region may be affected only once (i.e., up to 4 exchanges may occur). The action ends if all players are against an exchange.

Value: 78 - 2 Caballeros

Effect: Select a special action chosen by another player in this round. Carry this action out in your turn. The action may still be carried out by the other player.

Effect: If you play this card, all other player must select their cards before you pick your card. You may further add or subtract 20 points from the value of the card you choose.

Card: Soldnerkarte (Mercenary)

Value: 22 - 0 Caballeros

Effect: You recruit a mercenary force. Put three mercenaries (black blocks) into any region, or move the mercenaries if they are already in the game. Before a scoring round, they can be moved into bordering regions and then count as your own Caballeros. The Mercenary card is valid until someone else plays a mercenary card. The card is left face up in front of the player.

Effect: In one region replace up to three Caballeros belonging to another player with your own Caballeros. Your Caballeros come from your province; the other player's Caballeros are returned to their province.

Effect: Up to four Caballeros from your court may be placed in the king's region. If, as a result, you do not hold first place in the region, all Caballeros in the region are returned to the provinces.

Effect: All Grandes leave their native country and move into a neighboring region. They can be accompanied by one Caballero. Players perform this movement in clockwise order, as usual.

Effect: You choose a region that receives a bonus of 2 points during the next general scoring. Until the next scoring, no modification may be made in this area.

Effect: The king is distracted until the end of the round. Caballeros may be placed in any region. The king's bonus is not scored in case of any scoring. Placement in the king's region is still taboo.

Effect: Special scoring. All areas in which there is a tie for first place are scored.

Effect: Each player moves a Caballero from his home area into the home area of another player (provided one is available). Start with the player to the left of the player playing the card, and proceed clockwise. The king's region is still taboo.

Effect: From each region where no one holds a majority, the leaders must send a Caballero back to their provinces.

Effect: Select a region. The player with the most Caballeros loses as many as the 2nd place scoring bonus for the region. The player with the 2nd most Caballeros loses as many as the 3rd place scoring bonus.

Effect: During the next general scoring, score third place in every region twice.

Effect: A scoring board is turned by 180 degrees. In this region the player with the fewest Caballeros receives the most points.

Effect: After all players have laid their cards, choose a region in which an epidemic will occur on your secret region wheel. When it gets to your turn, every player loses half their Caballeros in the chosen region (rounding up). After the losses, move all of your Caballeros to the region to provide relief and explain the quarantine. Which is to say - no modifications can be made to the region until the end of the round. Should the epidemic break out in the king's region, the king flees to a bordering region.
